SIER – PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 13 representatives of State Own Companies (SOE), in Surabaya, Friday (27/10/2017).

With this signing, PT SIER who manages three industrial estates, will develop its business as well as increasing services toward the tenants.

“This marks the effort to increase our business. Synergy with SOEs was done in the hope of supporting tenants’ requirements whereas at the same time, to achieve better development and performance of the SOEs involved,” explained Fattah Hidayat, acting officer of PT SIER’s President Director after the ceremony.

The 13 SOEs are PT Jamkrindo, PT Danareksa, PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI), and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM).

As well as PT Persadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLI), PT HK Realindo, PT Pertagas Niaga, PT Indra Karya, PT Jasa Tirta I, and PT Primisima.

Next in line are PT Industri Sandang, PT Energy Management Indonesia (EMI), and PT Produksi Film Negara (PFN).

According to Fattah, this MoU signing will be followed by signing of cooperation agreement (PKS) by the end of 2017.

“Further application will be continued in 2018. Among others who are ready from the very beginning is probably cooperation agreement with PT Primisima,” said Fattah accompanied by Agus Hendardi, Director of PT SIER and Teguh Rudi Siswanto, Corporate Secretary of PT SIER.

Due to the reason that PT Primisima only requires space for logistic storage. The company (PT Primisima) is a joint business between the Indonesian Government through the SOE Ministry and Gabungan Koperasi Batik Indonesia (GKBI).

“They already have products, supplied by cooperatives. With us (PT SIER), the cooperation will be more toward logistic warehouse procurement for raw material of the fabric,” explain Agus Hendardi.

Meanwhile, for the long term business, there are piping network development by PT Pertagas Niaga at PIER industrial estate, waste management by PT PPLI, etc.

At the moment, PT SIER manages three industrial estates. SIER Surabaya which located at Rungkut, SIER Sidoarjo which located at Berbek, and PIER (Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang) at Rembang, Pasuruan Regency.

According to Agus, there are 200 hectares land at PIER area available for sale to industries or tenants who requires facilities accordingly.

Commissioner of PT SIER, Hadi Prasetio, added that development of PT SIER is necessary in order to support inter-island trading.

“East Java’s inter-island trading has become the main core of economic contributors of East Java. Therefore, in order for it to increase, one of the effort is to provide facilities at industrial estates and other developments capable of supporting tenants’ requirements,” explain ex East Java Governor Assistant.
